Funerals

The notion that a funeral must be religious in nature is a thing of the past. While there are those who prefer a traditional ceremony there is a growing number of non-religious people and so there is a growing need for funerals that are not bound by tradition. This is where a trained Celebrant can help create and present a service tailored to the wishes of the deceased and their circle of family and friends.

I will visit your home and individually prepare a ceremony with appropriate wording, with the emphasis on celebrating life, rather than mourning the passing of the departed. If something spiritual or religious is required in the service then prayers, hymns and psalms can be included. You are free to have as much or as little religious content as you wish.

My services, uniquely created for each individual, are comforting, uplifting and meaningful, and delivered with sensitivity and care. .

Everyone deserves a final goodbye that celebrates their life both through the words spoken and the presentation of the service. I have a library of readings and poems, and can help select the most appropriate music and symbolism. If you wish I can create a unique eulogy based on the life of the deceased.
